Day 03: 09 February 2024
Development Dialogue is pleased to curate this special outing to Magadikere and Lakshmeshwar. Magadikere is India’s largest wintering ground for the bar-headed geese which fly from Mongolia over the Himalayas each autumn to spend winter on the subcontinent. Lakshmeshwar is home to the 12th century Someshwar temple, beautifully restored in recent years by the Infosys Foundation. The outing will be led by the Deshpande Foundation Naturalist Team, who will introduce you to the unique flora and fauna of this part of the Deccan.
